For complex interleaved data, some performance improvement can be achieved from a Complex Product Data type to read and write data as complex interleaved I,q,I,q. Generally, much performance gain may not be seen since data that is read is already cached thereby avoiding multiple reads. However, in the case where the data is read and written in interleaved i,q, some overhead may be reduced. Special attention would be given to the JAI sample models to ensure compatibility.Complex data can currently be written to GeoTiff in band interleaved format. The GeoTiff and BigTiff writers will be extended to support the optional writing of complex data in a pixel interleaved format.
