Dependencies to 3rd-party libraries shall be cleaned up

Description

Snap has become bloated - modules draw too many external libraries.
Also duplicated dependencies shall be removed and libraries which are too deep in the core shall be moved elsewhere.
Consider using a common Bill-of-Material (BOM).
