Probably you are right Luis. And if the toolboxes can be deselected during installation the all-in-one installer can also create a plain installation.

Where would a snap without the toolboxes be useful?

If the All-in-one installer is provided there is no problem any more with download of the components via a proxy.

Additionally

  • provide a "plain" installer which contains only the SNAP modules without the toolboxes

  • provide a "smos" installer which contains SNAP and SMOS modules
